Northrop Grumman has been engaged for the retrofit of two MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft systems and operating base by the US Department of Defense.

Northrop Grumman has been engaged for the retrofit of two MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft systems and operating base by the US Department of Defense.

The American multinational aerospace and defence prime has been awarded a US$83,118,831 cost-plus-fixed-fee order on 23 August against a previously issued basic ordering agreement.

The order includes retrofit of the two Tritons and one main operating base to an Integrated Functional Capability Four, multiple-intelligence configuration for the US Navy and the Australian government.

Work will be performed in California, Virginia, and various locations across the US for the Naval Air Systems Command and is expected to be completed in June 2026.
