The US State Department has approved the sale of 288 AGM-114R Hellfire Missiles to the Republic of Korea, as part of a deal valued at $36 million.

In addition to the missiles, the agreement is expected to include additional parts and support services from the US and US affiliated contracting companies.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency noted that the sale of the missiles will assist the US’ objectives in the Indo-Pacific by bolstering the Republic of Korea’s defence capabilities and providing a stockpile of munitions for their AH-64E aircraft.
