New CEO appointed to lead EOS Defense Systems USA

EOS has appointed a new chief executive officer to head EOS Defense Systems USA, bringing 30 years of experience overseeing defence programs across the Department of Defense and other agencies.

EOS has appointed a new chief executive officer to head EOS Defense Systems USA, bringing 30 years of experience overseeing defence programs across the Department of Defense and other agencies.

Shawn Baerlocher has been appointed chief executive officer of EOS Defense Systems USA.

He was appointed to the role having spent 30 years leading programs for the Department of Defense and other agencies. He has served in leadership positions for Northrop Grumman and L3Harris.

The new chief executive officer will be based in Huntsville, Alabama and will help expand EOS’s presence in the US market for the company’s Remote Weapon Systems and Counter-UAS systems, the company has confirmed.

He will work with Christian Tobergte, executive vice president, Defence Systems (International).

Baerlocher explained that he was looking forward to supporting the US warfighter and their allies.

With a long history of providing the US warfighter and allies with products that offer a tactical advantage on the modern battlefield, EOS' commitment to innovation continues to grow. Andreas Schwer, managing director and group CEO of EOS thanked outgoing CEO Brigadier General (Rt’d) Philip Coker.
