Throughout his time with Defence, Foley worked closely with different cultures throughout the Indo-Pacific region, building unique relationships and helping to support regional security.

“Having lived in the Pacific and directly experienced the benefit that infrastructure can bring to the lives and livelihoods of local communities, I look forward to working with clients in the region through my new role here at Beca to continue making every day better,” Foley said.

According to Beca, Foley’s notable achievements also include the Kokoda Track Water Course Assessment in Papua New Guinea, the Kapooka Grenade Range in Wagga Wagga and the Army Engineers Digital Modernisation Program for the Department of Defence.

David Barter, Australian business director, Defence and National Security at Beca, welcomed the appointment.

“I am delighted with Daniel joining the team and leading our international engagement into the Pacific. Daniel has already developed a strong rapport with our Australian and Pacific teams, and we are looking forward to continuing to support strategic government initiatives across the Pacific,” Barter said.
