A panel of expert guests, led by Momentum Markets defence and security editor Liam Garman, has closed out the Defence Connect DSR Summit at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

The event is a gathering of the defence industry and the strategic policy community to discuss and explore the impact of the Albanese government’s recently released Defence Strategic Review (DSR).

The meeting was run with the support of principal partner Investment NSW and engagement partner Pyne & Partners.

Panel guest speakers included Australian Industry Group defence and industry policy head and Ai Group Defence Council executive director Kate Louis, Bondi Partners senior advisor Rear Admiral (Ret’d) Mark Purcell, Australian Industry & Defence Network chief executive officer Brent Clark and Investment NSW Trade and Investment group managing director Kylie Bell.

The panel of experts discussed challenges facing the industry, the impact and cost cuts made from the Defence Strategic Review, and the future of defence industry policy.
