Defence applications company Broens NSW has gone into administration, with creditors learning that EY are in the process of looking at the future of the company.

Papers that were filed in the NSW Supreme Court last month indicate that the company has until 15 March to address creditors.

Broens most recent defence project was in 2015, for work on the JSF gearbox jack it developed to lift and manoeuvre the gearbox of the F-135 engine equipping the JSF worldwide.

Broens also produced the Truck Aircraft Loading Unit (TALU) and Truck Aircraft Side Loading Unit (TASLU) that were sold to 20 international militaries.

Broens has manufacturing operations in both South Australia and NSW.

Broens was bought by Forgacs in 2014, but was not acquired by Civmec when the WA manufacturer bought numerous other Forgacs assets last year.
