Victorian-based Future Fibre Technologies has recently won a contract with Thales to provide support to their state-of-the-art airport security solution services at two key international airports in the Sultanate of Oman.

Victorian-based Future Fibre Technologies has recently won a contract with Thales to provide support to their state-of-the-art airport security solution services at two key international airports in the Sultanate of Oman.

 In 2016, Thales won the contract to design and deploy the IT and security system for Oman’s two international airports at Muscat and Salalah. 

As a part of this initial delivery, Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) was awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to install its world leading, fibre optic based, perimeter intrusion detection system, which is a key part of Thales’ high technology, integrated security solution and Airport Operation Control Centres.

Deployed by  security conscious industrial, military and government organisations in the world, FFT’s advanced applications include:

  • Perimeter intrusion detection (fence mounted and covert buried);
  • Data network tapping and tampering detection;
  • Oil and gas pipeline third party interference (TPI); and
  • Other applications including health and safety and traffic monitoring.

FFT has more than 1,900+ systems installed in 69+ countries.
