With just over a month before 2020 Australian Defence Industry Awards is hosted in partnership with Northrop Grumman, Defence Connect can reveal the second round of finalists, following fierce competition from an overwhelming response from across the breadth of Australia’s defence industrial base.
Recognising people and businesses, rather than products and platforms, the Australian Defence Industry Awards universally acknowledges all defence industry stakeholders – from primes, SMEs, academic institutions and associations, through to high-performing individuals such as defence executives, Indigenous and female leaders, students, scientists, technicians and academics.
This second round of finalists brings together a number of hotly contested categories, including:
- Engineer of the Year; and
- Graduate of the Year.

The Defence Connect Australian Defence Industry Awards program was created to reflect the comprehensive role of the defence industry as a fundamental input to Australia’s capability.
