The company has announced it is expanding its presence across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the appointment of Pete Smith as the vice president and general manager of EMEA, based in London, and the creation of a new UK corporate subsidiary.

ArchTIS expects to finalise the formation of a UK corporate subsidiary, which will formalise the company’s regional presence and support existing sales operations in the EMEA region.

According to Kurt Mueffelmann, to global COO of archTIS, the new UK entity will make it easier for key government, defence and enterprises to procure archTIS offerings.

"With several recent customer wins in EMEA and new privacy regulations in the EU and South Africa driving the need for data protection and country-based compartmentalisation, we see the region as an important area of growth for our portfolio of secure collaboration solutions,” Mueffelmann said.

Smith brings over 30 years’ experience in sales and management to the new vice president and general manager EMEA role, particularly with start-ups and emerging IT security brands.

With a keen understanding of how best to harness cutting edge technology to its full advantage, Smith advises customers on how to anticipate changes, and stay one step ahead of threats.

“I’m excited to be joining archTIS, especially at this time when the wholesale transition to remote working has accentuated organisations’ desire to enable their workforce to collaborate securely," Smith said.

"Several recent data breaches in the news could have been prevented with help from our software.

"I see huge growth potential in EMEA and I’m excited to be here."

The new UK corporate subsidiary is designed to help drive growth strategy for the company’s advanced information protection solutions while bolstering the company’s existing channel footprint across the region, which includes channel partners in Ireland, South Africa, Germany and the Middle East.
