A Queensland-based SME has become the 300th business to be subcontracted by Nova Systems, currently leading an MSP consortium.

Revolution Aerospace — a provider of both product and service offerings in the autonomous vehicle market — has secured a subcontract from engineering and management services provider Nova Systems.
The start-up has become the 300th firm to be onboardeded by Nova Systems, which, in partnership with QinetiQ and PwC, leads one of four major services provider (MSP) consortiums supporting the Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group (CASG).
“Nova has an extensive network into Defence and other industries,” Revolution Aerospace co-founder and CEO, Dr Terry Martin, said.
“We believe the opportunity to access Nova’s panels and networks alleviates a fairly big business development burden for our company and allows us to concentrate on delivering capability to our clients.”
Of the 300 firms to be subcontracted by Nova Systems, over 90 per cent are Australian-owned, and controlled, supporting more than 1,110 local jobs across $20 billion in projects.
The MSP leverages the offerings of its subcontractors in a bid to provide its clients with turnkey solutions.
“Nova Systems has been building sovereign capability for more than 20 years. We have gone through the journey of being an SME and understand the needs of our supply chain and how we can help them grow, which only strengthens Australian industry,” Nova Group CEO Jim McDowell said.
“Through our local subcontractor network, we are bringing together a concentration of Australian defence capabilities, enabling us to scale our offerings, creating more choice for the Australian Defence Force.”
