Defence Force Recruiting is scheduled to tour north-west WA over the final week of October, reaching out to locals interested in a career in defence.

Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) confirmed that it will tour Western Australia’s north-west over the final week of October, reaching out to locals interested in a career in the Australian Defence Force.

To meet Defence’s capability requirements, DFR has continued to look across the country to identify Australians who can support the Australian Defence Force. Locals in the region have been invited to learn more about careers in Defence as well as the Indigenous pathways that Defence offers.

According to a release from Defence, the locations of the DFR locations are as follows:

The announcement came as Western Australia’s Pilbara Regiment recently celebrated the presentation and consecration of new Regimental Colours, acknowledging the Regiment’s long history in keeping Australia safe with the unit’s unique detection activities in the country's north-west.

The Pilbara regiment was established as a Regional Force Surveillance Unit for the Australian Army, specialising in the collection of critical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data in Western Australia’s vast north-west region.
