Israel-based defence electronics company Elbit Systems will supply PULS rocket artillery systems to an unnamed international customer in a deal worth $150 million.

The $150 million contract will include delivery of precise and universal launching systems rocket launchers and a package of precision-guided, long-range rockets over a period of three years.

The autonomous artillery rocket system can fire a variety of ammunition types such as rockets, precision-guided munitions and missiles up to ranges of up to 300 kilometres. The company is also reportedly expanding on plans for the ability to launch loitering munitions such as the Elbit Systems SkyStriker.

“We are seeing an increased demand for our advanced artillery solutions from militaries looking to increase the effectiveness of their armed forces,” said Elbit Systems land general manager Yehuda ‘Udi’ Vered.

“This contract provides an additional vote of confidence in Elbit Systems’ PULS rocket artillery solutions.”
