BADGE has experienced strong growth in the Defence sector and is looking to engage actively with the Defence Estate Works program. To support this objective we are seeking a Defence Estate Works Manager to operate from our office in Bulimba, Brisbane. Experience in the construction industry across business development, procurement and delivery is desirable. Defence sector experience is also advantageous.
The three key areas of responsibility in this role are:
Business Development and Relationship Management
Attend networking events, build sustainable and meaningful relationships with clients and consultants, and stay up-to-date with the pipeline of Defence works.
Identify and build valued relationships with subcontractors.
Lead and manage a team of construction experts through Defence project delivery.
Manage the planning process on Defence projects, including the transfer of knowledge from the bid phase to construction.
Train, develop and mentor our project teams to ensure they understand Defence-specific requirements.
Oversee multiple Defence projects, ensuring the delivery obligations of each project are met.
This is an outstanding opportunity well suited to ex-service people or currently-serving Defence personnel looking for a career change. To be successful in this role you must be able to travel regularly to attend business networking functions and project sites around Queensland, some of which are located remotely. You must also be able to obtain a Defence Baseline Clearance to be considered for this position.
