About the role

The Sales Coordinator will work within the Sales & Marketing team to support all Sales & Marketing activities for Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia (SEDA) in Australia and New Zealand.

This role will be responsible for the sales & marketing administration requirements, whilst providing support to the development of sales capture plans and commercial proposals. The role will also execute the SEDA’s marketing strategy under the guidance of the Sales & Marketing Director.


Duties and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Sales Coordinator will be:

  • Manage the administration requirements of the Sales & Marketing team
  • Establish market surveys and benchmark SEDA products and services
  • Sales of SEDA commercial and defence equipment, systems and services in Australia & New Zealand
  • Customer relationship management
  • Organisation of local seminars, exhibitions and conferences
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to execute the SEDA marketing strategy
  • Communication across a multi discipline technical/sales team
  • Occasional domestic travels


Qualifications and Experience 

  • Tertiary Education in Business, Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales and/or Marketing assistant role
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Basic skills in Excel
  • Some commercial, negotiation and/or financial management skills would be advantageous

Can demonstrate:

  • Sound administrative skills with a proven ability to stay organised, tracking jobs / documentation as they progress through the system
  • Initiative and be proactive in seeking solutions
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong customer service ethic and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
  • Interest in advanced defence technologies
