ELSA's main business is Systems Integration for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), with an emerging presence in the intelligence and cyber markets.
With a focus on software, we're looking for motivated individuals to join us our multicultural team as Systems Engineers /Product Owners. Our Systems Engineers enjoy a level of flexibility to get involved in various stages of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, depending on the Projects at the time, their interests and skill sets. You will take part of shaping the development of systems within a dynamic, multinational company providing cutting edge technology to the Australian Defence Forces.
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Functional Manager, and working under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, you'll work with the team to deliver systems engineering services on time, within budget and with a quality acceptable to both ELSA and the customer. You will have to love working in a fast paced and ever changing development environment, where you will be providing requirements and software design analyses, while contributing to the maturity of our Agile environment. You will also contribute to testing and Verification and Validation efforts of the development and integration teams, as well as having the opportunity to be involved in demonstrations and requirements derivation activities with end users, customers and stakeholders.
This diverse role could see you provide systems engineering services to Bids and Proposals across the entire system engineering life cycle too. The scope of activities includes systems engineering, design, verification and specialty engineering.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in Engineering or Science degree
- Systems Engineering/Software Development lifecycle experience
- Working with software, communications and system integration projects
- Understanding of systems safety across hardware, software and system integration development
- Understanding of security concepts and application of security controls in the product line
- Previous experience working on Defence projects is highly desirable.
Please note: Due to the security requirements of the role, candidates are ideally Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain at least NV1 clearance.
