Melbourne Based Military Aerospace Systems Engineer opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to work in support of the design, development, manufacture, maintenance and modification of engineering projects, with a particular focus on military aerospace. To act as a consultant in Frazer-Nash's Australian Business. In doing so, to represent the company in work with clients, supporting delivery of major projects.
To provide engineering consultancy advice on the effective design and operation of equipment, machinery and systems, and associated acquisition and engineering management systems. To manage and oversee the delivery of work as tasked by Frazer-Nash, with a focus on systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, requirements capture and systems architecture. To assist in the development of proposals for future work and manage client relationships. To oversee the financial and commercial aspects of assigned projects.
The role will be to support the development of skills and experience in systems engineering in military aerospace within our Australian operation. This will include support to business development activities, delivery of systems engineering and technology management support and advice, as well as liaison with appropriate professional bodies. The person in this role will be expected to help to develop the skills of Australian employees, drawing on their recent experience and understanding of the military aerospace domain and the fast jet / air combat subdomain in particular.
Masters Degree in Science or Engineering
Experienced Systems Engineering Practitioner
Experienced Aerospace Engineer with experience in military fast jets (F35, Typhoon, F/A 18 or similar).
Fluent English Language, both spoken and written
At least 2 years engineering experience, military aerospace experience.
Member of an internationally recognized Engineering Institute, working towards chartered status
