Ocean Software, which designs, develops and delivers enterprise software solutions for military, government and corporate customers around the world, has brought in Kris Cannon, an experienced technology leader with more than 15 years’ experience in the IT industry, and more than a decade servicing Australia’s public sector and federal government.

He will be responsible for building new business for Ocean Software in defence, government and corporate clients.

Cannon has held a variety of positions in business development, software engineering, pre-sales support and professional services management for several global vendors including Novell, IBM and Microsoft.

Bruce Moors, general manager of Ocean Software, said, "Kris Cannon’s experience is extremely complementary to Ocean Software’s business, and he will take an active role in providing solutions for Australian defence and international clients.

"His primary focus is to offer innovative, forward-thinking solutions for customers, and to recommend leading-edge technology and ideas to improve their operating environment."

Earlier this year, Ocean Software signed an agreement with MOSS SAS, a system engineering company in the air operations sector, to deliver its flagship operations management solution FlightPro. FlightPro will act as a sub-system that forms the Army Air Activity Management System (SG3A), which will manage French military aviation operations and training activities.
