With the Australian Defence Force Academy holding its international graduation earlier this week, Defence Connect will look back at some of the graduating classes from the Academy for the past few years.

ADFA is military institution that aims to combine both military education and training with academic study for an undergraduate degree, and is supported by the University of New South Wales.

Approximately 1,000 Navy midshipman and Army and Air Force officer cadets are currently enrolled in the three-year program, and come from around Australia and countries in our region under the Defence Cooperation Program.

"ADFA enables future leaders of the Navy, Army and Air Force to undertake cutting-edge military and leadership training whilst studying at one of the world's leading universities," the UNSW website reads.

"As a graduate of ADFA you are on the path to life long learning. As an officer in the Australian Defence Force you will undertake specialist Defence training designed to keep you at the forefront of your profession, and you will be encouraged to undertake further university education."
