Attending international trade shows is often a difficult process for Australian SMEs, however, Team Defence Australia (a branch of CDIC) is prepared to help local defence businesses best prepare for events and provide assistance to become export ready.

With a stacked calendar year of domestic and international trade events ahead, CDIC has established a network of services to assist Australian defence industry businesses looking to expand their customer base globally.

According to business.gov.au “companies wishing to participate in trade events should register their interest by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. indicating which events they would like to attend.

“A CDIC business adviser will then be in contact prior to the trade event to confirm your continued interest and to help you prepare for the event. If you have registered your interest but are not yet export ready, a CDIC business adviser can provide you with the necessary assistance to become export ready.

“The CDIC is also providing a range of training and mentoring options in the lead up to the event to maximise your chance of success. Available workshops will be advertised on the CDIC website and will include presentation skills training, perfecting the Quad Chart and cultural awareness training.”

A list of upcoming events can be found here.
