Frequentis struck a deal with L3Harris for the acquisition of a number of its business units across the globe last month.

Austrian communications company Frequentis announced that it intended to purchase Air Traffic Management (ATM) resources from L3Harris, with the deal hoping to be completed during the latter half of 2021.
The agreement is set to include:
- L3Harris’ ATM voice communications business line;
- Harris Canada System’s ATC Solutions business;
- A complete acquisition of equity in Melbourne-based Harris C4i;
- A complete acquisition of equity in Bremen-based Harris Orthogon GmbH.
The agreement for the acquisitions is valued at US$20.1 million, subject to regular debt and equity fluctuations prior to close.
Frequentis further agreed to collaborate with L3Harris on a number of technology sharing arrangements, including Frequentis’ voice communication products within L3Harris’ business model.
It is hoped that the acquisition will help Frequentis' continued growth into the defence and civilian communications industry, providing additional footholds into new and expanding markets for the company including Canada, Germany and Australia.
CEO of Frequentis, Norbert Haslacher, welcomed the acquisiton.
