Dr Rowan Gilmore, former chief executive for EM Solutions, has been announced as the new deputy CEO of EOS, with Gilmore filling the newly created role immediately.

Prior to the announcement, Gilmore spent 10 years at EOS subsidiary EM solutions, playing an essential role in supporting EOS’ space capabilities including the SpaceLink communications program. Throughout his tenure as chief executive officer of the company, EM has grown into a leading technology developer, providing satellite products to six navies across the globe.

Before commencing at EM Solutions, Gilmore worked at SITA, supporting the telecommunications capabilities of 600 leading airlines and served as general manager international networks at Telstra.

According to EOS, Gilmore has left EM Solutions in an enviable financial situation with an estimated $25 million in revenue. Gilmore will be succeeded by John Logan, vice president programs, and Georgios Makris, vice president operations. Both will report to Glen Tindall, CEO of EOS Space Systems.

“I have spent the last 20 years of my career building small companies into larger profitable entities. This new challenge, to work with a great team and cutting-edge technology, building EOS into a highly profitable Australian prime Defence contractor will be an exciting journey. EOS has a diverse product range but the recipe for success will be similar,” Gilmore said.
