Sydney-based DroneShield has announced an order placed from a significant European military for the company’s RadarZero portable counter-drone system.
Powered by the company's Complete Command-and-Control (C2) system, DroneShield said that the RadarZero counter-drone system is a "revolutionary ruggedised" radar.
Though the company has not provided specifics on the customer, company CEO Oleg Vornik stressed the importance of the $100,000 sale.
"First, this is our first order from this European military," he said.
"Secondly, this is the first sale of a radar-only fixed site system powered by DroneShieldComplete, demonstrating the modularity of our offering. DroneShield is both a sensor manufacturer and an integrator, with the customer having ability to add further sensor loads to the acquired system, which DroneShieldComplete supports."
The sale is subject to pending relevant export approvals.
The news comes on the heels of a similar overseas export to the US, with a US$200,000 ($279,722) contract finalised with the USAF in recent days.
That deal represents the biggest breakthrough for the Sydney-based company since its offerings were chosen as the preferred anti-drone solution for the European Union's police forces in May.
"We are immensely proud that the US Air Force, one of the most demanding customers in the world, chose to deploy DroneShield's flagship, fixed site detect-and-defeat system, incorporating our new RfOne MKII sensors," said Vornik.
DroneShield has operational hubs in Sydney, London, and Virginia.
