Airbus has secured a new contract to service the world’s largest C295 fleet.

The Egyptian Air Force has awarded a new five-year services contract to Airbus for the performance-based support of its C295 fleet of 24 aircraft.

Specifically, Airbus has been tasked with delivering material services, on-site technical support and on-wing maintenance to ensure fleet availability and mission readiness.

Airbus has been providing such services since the delivery of the first aircraft in 2011.

“This agreement is a significant step forward in the integrated service support that we offer our customers in the region,” Stephan Miegel, head of military aircraft services at Airbus Defence and Space, said.

“Our goal and commitment to our customers is to maximise their fleet availability, ensure their mission readiness, all while saving maintenance costs.”
