The Australian veteran-owned company, which already specialises in the design, manufacture, integration, installation and operation of specialist marine launch and recovery systems, secured the significant multi-million-dollar defence contract for supply Launch and Recovery Systems for submarine rescue operations to a major European Navy.

“The LARS is designed to deploy a special umbilical that enables emergency ventilation and decompression for a disabled submarine, significantly enhancing the survivability of the personnel onboard,” according to a public statement from the company.

“The availability of an Submarine Emergency Ventilation and Decompression System (SEVDS) not only enhances the submarine force’s response capabilities but also positively impacts morale, addressing critical challenges such as recruitment and retention. Earlier this month, Thrust Maritime sent representatives to the US to engage in discussions regarding high-integrity launch and recovery systems, submarine rescue operations.
