The Bondi Partners senior adviser made the visit earlier this month to see company infrastructure, following Aquaterro’s delivery of multi-threat body armour for Western Australian Police officers under a 2019 program originally initiated by the then-McGowan government.
Earlier this year in October, the defence equipment supplier signed a new three-year contract for multi-threat body armour to support more than 6,500 officers of WA Police, including supply of new updated vests.
“Aquaterro revolutionised general issue body armour for Australian Police when in 2009 we were selected for the Victoria Police IOEV program to measure 8,500 members for integrated operational equipment vests,” Aquaterro Australia chief executive officer and founder Graeme Bulte said.
“Since then, Aquaterro has measured approximately 45,000 Australian Police for armour, and supplied over half a million items of equipment.
“Supplying supported solutions across Australia, including all tactical police units, and notably, more than a dozen verified Australian officer ’saves’.
“High on that list of operational saves is having provided the Safariland shield that took shotgun rounds, protecting NSW Police Force tactical officers during the Lindt Cafe siege.
“Complex, high value, critical programs is what Aquaterro does.”
Aquaterro is proud to be the contract provider to multiple law enforcement agencies across Australia for advanced body armour systems, including the South Australian Police, Northern Territory Police, Australian Border Force and Australian Federal Police, according to the company.
