Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Delivery Pat Conroy has officially launched the 2025 Defence Export Catalogue featuring a record number of businesses showcasing their export-ready products.

This year’s flagship publication highlights 336 businesses, serving as a key platform for foreign governments to directly engage with Australia’s defence sector. The catalogue provides vital opportunities for Australian companies to expand their global reach and grow their exports.

The government remains dedicated to driving international export opportunities for the Australian defence industry and strengthening Australia’s presence in global supply chains. This commitment extends beyond the catalogue to include the Global Supply Chain Program and recent reforms to export controls, all supported by the Team Australia initiative.

Minister Conroy celebrated this year’s catalogue, saying, “The record-breaking 336 companies featured in the 2025 edition highlight the Albanese government’s strong commitment to supporting defence industry exports.”

Reforms to Australia’s export controls have created a more streamlined trading environment with AUKUS partners, eliminating the need for export licences and unlocking billions of dollars in investment. These measures are cutting red tape and fostering increased defence trade with the United Kingdom and the United States.

“We continue to work closely with the sector to help businesses expand their global footprint, which, in turn, supports job creation and economic growth in Australia," Minister Conroy added.

Under the Albanese government, the Global Supply Chain Program has significantly expanded, growing from seven to 13 participating prime contractors. Collectively, these primes have awarded over 2,610 contracts to 283 Australian suppliers, totalling more than $2.07 billion.

Last year, the Team Defence Australia initiative led delegations to 10 international trade shows, enabling 399 Australian companies to showcase their capabilities on the world stage. Among these success stories are:

  • SPEE3D, which secured sales of deployable 3D printers, including training, support and powder, valued at over $10 million.
  • BlueRoom Simulations, now exporting its BlueRoom Mixed Reality Simulator to Europe, with projected sales of $1.5 million by the end of 2025.
  • REDARC Defence & Space, which, in partnership with MARL International Limited, has become a key supplier of LED lighting to BAE Systems Australia.

All exports of controlled goods and technology remain subject to a rigorous and independent assessment process under Australia’s Defence Export Control legislation.

Minister Conroy said, “It is encouraging to see Australian defence industry thriving internationally, boosting employment and strengthening our role in global supply chains.”
