Counter-uncrewed aerial systems developer DroneShield has announced a package of five repeat contracts from an unnamed Asia-Pacific military customer worth more than $32.2 million.
The ASX announcement was made on 14 April and includes the opportunity for an in-country reseller to deliver both vehicle-mounted and fixed counter drone systems to a military end customer in an Asian-Pacific country.
“The reseller is a wholly owned subsidiary of a multibillion-dollar, global, publicly listed customer that is contractually required to distribute the products to a major Asia-Pacific military government department,” the statement said.
“DroneSentry-C2 command and control system displayed at Avalon Airshow DroneShield has previously received seven standalone contracts from this reseller for this customer between May 2024 and January 2025 totalling approximately $12.3 million.”
Delivery and cash payment is expected through the second and third quarter of calendar year 2025.
“In close succession to the earlier order announced on 29 January 2025 from this sophisticated customer and a close military ally of Australia in the Asia-Pacific region, DroneShield products are again meeting the challenge set by them,” DroneShield chief executive Oleg Vornik said.
“The scale and frequency of orders has been increasing as leading counter drone customers are moving from testing hardware to broader rollouts.
“DroneShield is rapidly expanding all aspects of the business to meet this demand across multiple regions.”
