International defence industry company HighCom Group will supply counter-small uncrewed aerial system products to the Australian Department of Defence under a new $2.6 million contract.
HG, composed of HighCom Ltd (Australia), HighCom Technology and HighCom Armor, announced the new order via an ASX statement on 22 May.
The company has previously supplied small UAS and sensor payloads to Australian defence and security agencies. It also reportedly delivers local program, project and engineering management, systems integration, maintenance, composite repairs and logistics support services.
HighCom group chief executive officer Todd Ashurst said the order demonstrates the company’s commitment to solving Defence’s capability needs through understanding, innovating and identifying industry’s best solutions.
“We are proud to announce this important milestone, which reflects our long-standing commitment to ‘protect and sustain’ those who serve,” he said.
“The award of this contract by the Department of Defence not only recognises the strength and innovation in counter-drone technologies we can provide but also reinforces the strategic importance of these capabilities in supporting national defence priorities.”
HighCom Armor designs, manufactures and supplies global military, law enforcement and first responder customers with advanced personal protection ballistic products and solutions for body armour, ballistic helmets and composite armour panels and platform structures.
