Adelaide-based REDARC Defence & Space has signed a strategic teaming agreement with US-based Projects Unlimited Inc (PUI), a respected provider of electronics manufacturing services, in a major move set to strengthen the AUKUS defence industrial base.
The collaboration establishes a framework for cooperation between the two companies, strategically expanding their advanced manufacturing and engineering capabilities across both continents. This partnership directly supports the shared objectives of the AUKUS partnership by bolstering the defence industrial base.
The agreement enables REDARC Defence & Space to leverage PUI’s established manufacturing footprint in the US, including its expertise in circuit card assemblies, box build integration, and cable and wiring solutions.
For defence clients, this means faster access to REDARC’s mission-critical power solutions, manufactured to the highest standards within the US supply chain. The collaboration is set to enhance interoperability and accelerate the integration of critical technologies, reinforcing the AUKUS alliance.
“This teaming agreement with Projects Unlimited Inc marks a significant milestone for REDARC Defence & Space and our commitment to the US defence market,” said Anthony Kittel, founder and managing director of REDARC Defence & Space.
“Partnering with PUI allows us to better support our customers and enhance supply chain resilience. PUI’s deep expertise and unwavering commitment to quality make them an ideal partner to bring our robust defence solutions closer to where they’re needed. This partnership fosters innovation and industrial cooperation that are central to AUKUS and will ensure the seamless development and deployment of critical technologies.”
Chris Wyse, president and CEO of Projects Unlimited Inc, added, “I’m excited to partner with REDARC Defence & Space. Their innovative products and ability to design, build and support manufacturing make them the perfect partner for PUI as we expand our global footprint. The Australian defence industry has cutting-edge technologies that can be integrated into US platforms under Pillar 2 of AUKUS.”
“PUI has experience partnering with companies like REDARC to successfully transition manufacturing to the US in compliance with all government regulations. This relationship leverages the strengths of both companies and provides a unique approach to sharing new technologies between Australia, the US, and the UK,” Wyse added.
The strategic alliance creates a powerful trans-Pacific capability for defence programs, aligning directly with AUKUS’ aim to pool resources, share technology and unite capabilities.
By combining REDARC’s more than 40 years of expertise in advanced power solutions with PUI’s proven track record in high-precision electronics manufacturing, the partnership is set to enhance local support and responsiveness. This will deliver significant benefits in terms of efficiency, localised production and robust supply chain solutions across both regions.
