Sydney counter-drone developer DroneShield has announced its largest single order in the company’s history under a $61.6 million European military contract.
The company has been engaged in the package of three stand-alone follow-on contracts for $61.6 million from its privately owned in-country European reseller that is contractually required to distribute the products to a European military customer.
In addition, the contract is larger than the company’s entire revenue of $57.5 million for 2024.
Under the announcement, the company will deliver hand-held detection and counter drone systems and associated accessories throughout the third quarter of 2025, with cash payment expected in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
Importantly, DroneShield’s recent production and inventory holding expansion means this order is expected to be fully delivered within the quarter.
“In succession to the $32.3 million repeat order announced on 14 April 2025 for another customer, DroneShield products are now being purchased in material quantities,” chief executive officer Oleg Vornik said.
“The scale and frequency or orders has been increasing as leading military customers are moving from testing hardware to broader rollouts.
“DroneShield is well placed to meet the increasing demand.”
Over the past 24 months, DroneShield’s reseller involved in this package of contracts has progressively increased DroneShield orders from single evaluation units to multimillion-dollar contracts, with all imports, deliveries and payments handled on time and in a highly professional manner.
DroneShield had previously received a single contract from this reseller for this specific customer in April 2024, totalling approximately $0.5 million.
