Sydney counter-drone developer DroneShield has announced the launch of a subscription-based AI-enabled counter-drone solution for the civilian market, called SentryCiv.
SentryCiv is envisioned as a passive, cost-effective airspace security system that allows non-military clients to safeguard critical assets against drone threats.
The system reportedly features an integrated command and control system to provide operators with real-time alerts, threat prioritisation, customisable zones, data logging, and integration with third-party systems.
In addition, it will feature “dot-on-a-map” tracking of threats and operators, as well as detection of common drone models without disrupting existing communication systems.
DroneShield has launched the product in a bid to meet expectations of counter-drone system demand from the civilian sectors.
“As drone threats continue to proliferate worldwide, critical infrastructure is increasingly vulnerable to malicious and unauthorised drone activity,” said DroneShield chief executive Oleg Vornik.
“SentryCiv offers a comprehensive, scalable solution that provides real-time detection, and situational awareness.
“This next-gen technology is engineered to seamlessly integrate into existing security frameworks, enabling a rapid response to potential threats without disrupting operations.”
The system is envisioned to deliver a non-emitting, passive layer of security to airports, utilities, data centres, venues and stadiums, government buildings, energy infrastructure, power grids, correctional facilities, corporate campuses, and other high-profile sites susceptible to drone threats.
The system will reportedly require no upfront purchase cost and is a pure-subscription/SaaS-based product.
In addition, it will reportedly feature quarterly software updates to the AI engine, expand the drone detection capability, improve performance, and introduce new features to stay ahead of drone developments.
“Airspace security for critical infrastructure and public safety has never been more urgent,” said DroneShield’s director of public safety, Tom Adams.
“SentryCiv represents our commitment to making advanced counter-drone solutions accessible and affordable for non-military sectors.
“This solution is a game changer for industries like corrections, aviation, and utilities, providing cost-effective, reliable means of protecting critical assets from evolving drone threats.”
