Veteran-led company Greenroom Robotics has signed a strategic partnership agreement with 3ME Technology to expand Australia’s sovereign maritime innovation ecosystem.
The strategic partnership agreement is expected to bring together Greenroom’s software with 3ME’s advanced power and propulsion systems.
“At Greenroom Robotics, our mission is to transform maritime operations through autonomy and AI for safe, clean and protected oceans,” Greenroom Robotics chief executive officer Jim Keane said.
“The maritime environment is especially complex for autonomous systems due to dynamic, unpredictable and harsh conditions.
“Having bonded with Justin over 35 knot winds and massive swells in the Sydney to Hobart, I am confident of the impact we will have in modernising maritime operations.”
The agreement is expected to assist in the development of hybrid propulsion solutions for crewed and uncrewed vessels, as well as for subsea pressure-tolerant battery offerings for autonomous underwater vehicles and seafloor sensors.
“This partnership is an exciting and important milestone for both companies. Jim and I completed the Sydney to Hobart yacht race together last year to raise funds and awareness for a veteran charity,” said Justin Bain, 3ME Technology chief executive officer.
“This was a powerful experience that laid the foundation for a relationship built on trust, shared values, hard work and a commitment to delivering sovereign capability.
“We will have lots more to talk about during this year’s training and race.”
