Advanced AI proposal-writing technology company AutogenAI has donated a subscription to its software to Defence Kidz, an organisation dedicated to supporting children from military families.

The partnership aims to enhance Defence Kidz’s ability to secure larger-scale, multiyear grants and potentially enable the charity to expand its reach and impact significantly.

Defence Kidz plans to use AutogenAI’s AI-powered bid-writing software to double the number of grants and tenders pursued annually by addressing resource and time limitations. The technology is expected to streamline grant preparation, improve submission quality and equip volunteers to target complex funding opportunities.

“With AutogenAI’s support, Defence Kidz can better compete for grants, ensuring more children from Defence families feel prioritised and supported despite frequent relocations or deployments,” said Defence Kidz founder Hayley Ann Boswell.

Defence Kidz currently supports families across Australia and globally with practical resources like deployment care packs, tailored children’s books, school guides, and inclusive events like Defence Kidz Zoo Days.

“Children of Defence Force families grow up in unique circumstances, often facing challenges that many others never experience. Defence Kidz helps to ensure these children feel supported, and celebrated,” said Deputy Chief of Army, Major General Chris Smith.

“As an ambassador for Defence Kidz, I am deeply grateful for the incredible volunteers who give their time and energy to create lasting change. Their work fosters understanding of the sacrifices made by our serving and veteran families and builds stronger, more connected communities.

“The work Defence Kidz does is vital. When our children feel acknowledged and valued, it strengthens the resilience of the entire Defence family. That support allows our serving men and women to focus on their mission, knowing their loved ones are cared for.

“Defence Kidz reminds us all that service is a family commitment – and every member deserves recognition.”

With increased funding and improved bid-writing capability, the charity aims to triple its outreach by scaling care pack distribution nationwide, publishing additional books, expanding digital tools, delivering more community events, and strengthening partnerships with schools and the Defence industry.

“Our software empowers organisations to achieve sustainable growth by saving time and resources on grant applications while improving submission quality,” said AutogenAI APAC chief executive Emma Crichton.

“At AutogenAI, we are proud to support Defence Kidz in their mission to assist military families and their children. Non-profits like Defence Kidz play a vital role in our communities, and their work often depends on successfully securing grants and funding.

“By providing access to our AI-powered proposal writing tool, we aim to empower Defence Kidz to produce compelling grant applications more efficiently, allowing them to focus on their important work. As a company that collaborates with many defence organisations, it is a privilege to contribute in a small way to honour the commitment and sacrifices of our defence personnel and their families.”
