Lockheed Martin Australia has announced the milestone delivery of the 300th wing flap ship-set for C-130J Super Hercules aircraft by Australian industry partner, Quickstep.

Lockheed Martin Australia has announced the milestone delivery of the 300th wing flap ship-set for C-130J Super Hercules aircraft by Australian industry partner, Quickstep.

Announced via Lockheed, the aircraft wing flap ship-set is manufactured by Quickstep, a subsidiary company of ASDAM, a leading national manufacturer and provider of defence equipment.

The C-130J aircraft are manufactured at Quickstep’s facility in Bankstown Airport and is set to be the 300th ship-set delivered to Lockheed Martin.

“Reaching the 300th ship-set milestone is a significant achievement for Quickstep and for Australian defence manufacturing and even more significant that these components will be installed on the first of Australia’s new C-130Js,” said Toni Marzulli, vice president, operations at Lockheed Martin Australia.

“Quickstep has proven itself as a longstanding, reliable and critical partner, consistently delivering mission-essential composite structures to the quality, scale and precision required for global aerospace programs.”

“Lockheed Martin Australia is proud to work with partners like Quickstep to build resilient sovereign capability and integrate Australian industry into global aerospace supply chains.”

Quickstep is the only supplier of composite wing flaps for the C-130Js globally, positioning itself as a valuable Australian defence manufacturing company.

The company has continued to contribute to Lockheed’s C-130J program for years, with this most recent milestone being a reflection of the work that Quickstep employees do every day for the aircraft.

“The milestone reflected decades of technical excellence and sustained investment,” said Rohan Stocker, chief executive officer of ASDAM.

“Being the sole global supplier of C-130J composite wing flaps is a testament to the capability of our people and the strength of our partnership with Lockheed Martin.

“This program has been foundational to Quickstep’s growth and continues to provide highly skilled jobs and advanced manufacturing capability here in Australia.

“Our entire team is proud to contribute to the Lockheed Martin global supply chain.”
