Getac Technology has announced their new drone control system, CommandCore.
The new system strategically incorporates Getac’s Ground Control Station (GCS) with CommandCore to provide defence and public safety customers with a centralised, integrated platform.
“As the use of drones becomes increasingly widespread throughout numerous industries around the world and demand for comprehensive remote-control solutions in Australia and New Zealand is also growing significantly,” said president of Getac James Hwang.
The system is a “comprehensive UAV/USV/UGV control solution” that features modular architecture to easily integrate with existing systems and provide customers with a highly adaptable solution that can address a range of different operational needs.
CommandCore is designed to be used not just for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance defence missions, but also for disaster response, public safety surveillance, and in utility infrastructure inspections such as railways and substations.
It has been designed to face a range of threats and environmental conditions, which Getac said will ensure reliability within evolving operational environments.
“CommandCore answers this demand, providing professionals who work in challenging environments every day with a highly customisable rugged control solution they can rely on to get the job done when it matters most,” Hwang added.
The integration of the GCS features allow the drone system to be operated across a range of accessory and external drone controls, such as on Android and Windows systems.
Features like these support Getac’s goals of providing a range of industries with “centralised, mission-ready hub, designed for real-time data processing, seamless drone control in extreme conditions, and overall management of operational parameters”.
