Sydney counter-drone developer DroneShield has received an ASIC notice to comply with an investigation into announcements, information provided to the Australian Securities Exchange late last year.
DroneShield reportedly received the notice from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) requiring it to provide reasonable assistance in connection with an investigation under the Corporations Act earlier this week.
“DroneShield advises that it has received a notice from ASIC requiring it to provide reasonable assistance in connection with an investigation under the Corporations Act,” according to a company statement published on 12 May.
“DroneShield will cooperate fully with the investigation regarding announcements and information provided to the Australian Securities Exchange between 1 and 20 November 2025, and trading in DroneShield shares between 6 and 12 November 2025 (inclusive).
“It is not clear what action, if any, may result from ASIC’s investigation.”
The company also received a letter from ASX Compliance in November last year, querying trading of securities in that period.
Defence Connect has approached DroneShield for comment about the recent ASIC notice.
