Defence robotics company GaardTech has confirmed a recent contract win to supply the Australian Defence Force and a separate agreement for a supply path to the Japan Ministry of Defense.

Under the Australian contract, the company reportedly won a contract by open tender to supply GaardTech’s proprietary robotic systems to the Australian Defence Force.

Separately, the company also announced the signing of a strategic agreement with a Tier One Japanese trading house to establish a direct supply and support pathway to the Japan Ministry of Defense.

GaardTech’s head of growth and global sales leader, Michael Hall – appointed to the role earlier this year – said big things are in the works for the company.

“It’s been a little over three months since I joined GaardTech and in that short time, the team has added two European armies to the global user group of our Combat Robotics Systems,” he said online.

“We’ve demonstrated their capabilities on multiple multinational exercises across two continents.

“Yesterday, we won another Down Under …. The Robotic Fighting Echelon is here.”
