Infrastructure resilience company ANT61 has announced delivery of its Beacon hardware to a US defence systems integrator.

The hardware is scheduled for launch aboard a United States Space Force flight in quarter one of 2027. The milestone marks the company’s inaugural US Defence contract.

The ANT61 Beacon provides satellite operators with independent, continuous two-way communication, real-time anomaly diagnostics and robust recovery capabilities within a single, space-proven subsystem.

Backed by space heritage since February 2024, the system ensures satellites remain operational and recoverable even during primary systems failures.

“Delivery to a US Defense integrator for a USSF mission serves as an important product validation”, according to ANT61 founder and chief executive officer Mikhail Asavkin.

“It confirms that our Beacon meets the reliability and performance standards required for the most demanding missions; and opens the door to a category of customers that have historically lacked viable options for independent satellite resilience at this form factor.”

The partnership is structured to extend beyond the initial launch. Pending mission success, multiple follow-on missions are anticipated through 2027, establishing an early, scalable foundation for recurring revenue in the defence segment.

Securing a US Defence mission strongly validates ANT61’s dual-use commercialization strategy, demonstrating the technology’s critical use across both commercial and government space sectors as the company continues to expand its global customer base.
