DroneShield announces RfRecon portable radio frequency intelligence solution

The system also reportedly combines ultra-wideband spectrum awareness, precision direction finding and RfAI-3-powered signal intelligence within a single portable capability.

RfRecon is designed for dismounted, vehicle-mounted, expeditionary and fixed-site operations and supports integration into existing security and defence ecosystems.

Built on DroneShield’s recently launched proprietary RfAI-3 intelligence architecture, RfRecon enables operators to move beyond simply collecting spectrum data to understanding what that activity means in an operational context.

It addresses the increasing complexity of the electromagnetic environment, driven by the rapid growth of uncrewed systems, electronic warfare capabilities and wireless communications surrounding today’s operators.

RfRecon is designed to operate within a layered defence architecture, extending RF intelligence from the tactical edge to enterprise command and control.

DroneShield can be interoperable with the tools operators already rely on and forms part of layered counter-UAS architectures incorporating complementary detection, cyber takeover and kinetic defeat capabilities.

Subject to customer procurement timelines, there is potential for orders being received and revenue contribution commencing in 2H 2026.
