Nova Systems has announced it will expand its National Systems Integration Centre into a new facility more than double the size of the original, less than a year after opening, to meet growing demand from Defence, aerospace and emergency services clients.

The expanded facility at Banyo, Queensland, significantly increases Nova’s capacity to design, integrate, test and manufacture mission-critical systems for customers across Australia, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading provider of complex engineering and systems integration services.

The rapid expansion marks a significant milestone for Nova’s investment in sovereign capability and highlights the increasing demand for locally delivered systems integration expertise.

Nova Systems CEO Dean Rosenfield said the expansion demonstrates the growing role the company is playing in supporting critical national capabilities.

“When we opened the National Systems Integration Centre last year, we established a dedicated capability designed to support the growing complexity of Defence, aerospace and emergency services programs,” Rosenfield said.

“The fact we’ve already expanded into a facility more than double the size reflects both the strength of demand for these services and the expertise of our team.

“This investment enables us to increase capacity, scale our operations and continue delivering innovative solutions that support our customers’ mission-critical objectives.”

The expanded integration centre will support a growing portfolio of programs, including production activities associated with Nova’s stretcher loading system developed for the Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland fleet, as well as specialist mission integration projects supporting organisations including StarFlight and the Royal Australian Navy’s Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Trials Unit.

The larger facility provides increased space for systems integration, testing, prototyping, production and customer engagement activities, enabling Nova to support a broader range of programs and future growth opportunities.

Rosenfield said the expansion reflects a broader trend across Australia as organisations seek increasingly sophisticated and integrated technical solutions.

“Our customers are looking for trusted partners who can bring together engineering excellence, operational understanding and innovative technology to solve complex challenges,” he said.

“The National Systems Integration Centre gives us the ability to deliver those capabilities at scale while continuing to grow Australia’s sovereign engineering and advanced manufacturing expertise.”

The expanded Centre strengthens Nova Systems’ ability to support the complete life cycle of systems integration projects, from concept development and design through to testing, certification, production and sustainment.

As demand for advanced mission systems continues to grow, the expanded centre positions Nova to support the evolving needs of Defence, aviation and emergency services organisations across Australia and beyond.
