Australian technology company Codan will join the S&P/ASX 100 Index effective 21 September this year, following the latest quarterly review of the S&P/ASX indices.
The S&P/ASX 100 is Australia’s premier large capitalisation equity index comprising 100 of the largest eligible companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
Codan’s inclusion marks a significant milestone in the growth and evolution of the company as a global technology group.
It reflects the scale and standing the group has built across its communications and metal detection businesses, focus on serving its customers, and continued investment in technology, engineering and innovation.
The milestone follows the announcement of the company’s FY2025–26 results, Codan’s most successful year on record.
“Joining the S&P/ASX 100 Index is a reflection of the business we’ve been building. We’ve invested in our people and capabilities, strengthened our core businesses and continued to position Codan for the long-term,” Codan chief executive officer and managing director Alf Ianniello said.
“Our growth has been underpinned by differentiated technology, strong positions in attractive global markets, disciplined acquisitions that strengthen our core businesses, and continued investment in engineering and innovation.
“Our focus remains on building an even stronger Codan by continuing to invest in our businesses, maintaining our technology leadership and positioning the group to capitalise on long-term growth opportunities.”
