Western Australian defence company Blacktree Technology has announced it will unveil a new high gain Flat Panel UHF SATCOM antenna at Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition this week.
Blacktree will reportedly showcase the new Flat Panel Antenna, a ruggedised UHF SATCOM low profile form factor antenna engineered for deployment across land platforms, maritime vessels and rapidly deployed field systems.
The new equipment is reportedly targeted at both local programs such as LAND4140, and international land programs through trusted partners; for users seeking resilient optimal performance in a low-profile format.
“The Blacktree Technology Flat Panel Antenna is a ruggedised UHF SATCOM antenna developed for the operational demands of modern defence and critical communications environments. Strategic and Tactical models operate across the 240 to 320 MHz band, it delivers proven radio frequency performance within a low-profile form factor engineered for deployment across land platforms, maritime vessels, and rapidly deployed field systems,” according to a public statement from Blacktree Technology.
“The antenna integrates directly into vertically integrated UHF SATCOM architectures, supporting complex and multi-carrier operations without compromise to size or structural integrity. Its flat radome construction reduces the physical footprint, protects internal components from environmental ingress, and minimises the antenna’s signature profile — a critical consideration in operational contexts.
