Honeywell Aerospace senior director Lee Davis has been announced as the new Managing Director for Northrop Grumman Australia.
Davis will reportedly take over the responsibilities of Northrop managing director Deanne Barnett in January next year, ahead of Barnett’s retirement in February of 2027. Barnett has previously served as managing director since September 2024 and Director of Sustainment and Modernisation since September 2021.
“Deanne’s contribution to the company has been extraordinary, guiding the team through both opportunities and challenges, and positioning the business for continued success,” according to a public statement from Northrop Grumman Australia.
“Lee and Deanne will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and deliver uninterrupted support to our customers and industry partners.”
Davis joins Northrop from Honeywell Aerospace Australia and is expected to be based at the company’s Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane. He brings 30 years of experience across the defence sector including senior roles at Rheinmetall and Boeing, as well as leading major defence programs across tactical vehicles, battlespace communications, airborne surveillance and control, and air defence.
Davis is also a former armament engineer in the Royal Australian Air Force, previously working on guided weapons systems integration and operational capability across air combat platforms.
