NIOA, Australasia’s largest privately-owned supplier of small arms and ammunition, has received re-certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) standard.

NIOA, Australasia’s largest privately-owned supplier of small arms and ammunition, has received re-certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) standard.

According to NIOA, the certification includes a significantly expanded scope, encompassing a full engineering design and development capability.

NIOA says they have been "actively working towards this outcome, and the issue of [their] new ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Registration demonstrates [their] mature engineering support capability along with [their] existent importation, distribution, integration, through-life support and management of procurement and supply".

ISO 9001:2015 is a QMS used by organisations to demonstrate their abilities to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

NIOA says this certification underpins their commitment to their commercial, defence and law enforcement customers, providing the highest quality product as well as dedicated supply and support capabilities.
