Elbit acquires BAE business unit

Elbit Systems confirmed the acquisition of BAE Systems Rokar International.

Elbit Systems confirmed the acquisition of BAE Systems Rokar International.

Elbit Systems confirmed that it has acquired BAE Systems Rokar International businesses unit from BAE Systems.

Rokar International is located in Jerusalem, Israel, and oversees the production of GPS receivers and systems in defence products.

Bezhalel Machlis, president and chief executive officer of Elbit Systems, commented that Rokar’s capabilities will enhance Elbit’s munitions offerings.

“There is increasing demand for our networked precision fire solutions. Rokar’s technologies are integrated in our solutions and the acquisition will further enhance our capabilities in this growing area of activity,” Machlis commented.

The deal is expected to be valued at $31 million net of cash held by Rokar.
