To achieve this, Invictus Australia will use their experience and knowledge of sport, as well as their network of sporting partners to help create local sporting initiatives for the veteran community.

Meanwhile, Soldier On is expected to provide support to Invictus Australia’s local “activations” by communicating and facilitating opportunities with their large veteran audience.

“We are delighted to partner with Soldier On to share our expertise in the sporting arena, and together show real collaboration in action to deliver better outcomes for veterans and their families,” Michael Hartung, chief executive officer of Invictus Australia said.

“We know the powerful role sport can play in the recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration of our veterans and their families, and look forward to working with the extensive Soldier On network across Australia to deliver upon our shared passion and purpose to support all those who have and continue to serve our country.”

Prue Slaughter, interim chief executive officer of Soldier On, outlined that the partnership would have physical and mental health benefits for Australia’s veteran community.

“Soldier On is thrilled to team up with Invictus Australia. In their tremendous work, the Invictus Australia team works to strengthen the physical and mental wellbeing of our nation’s veterans and their families, a mission that very much resonates with Soldier On,” Slaughter said.
