The global defence technology company has secured a deal to enhance the US military’s C5ISR capability.
The US Department of Defense has awarded a $1.5 billion (AU$2.4 billion) prime task order to Leidos which has been tasked with supporting the Sentinel program by bolstering command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities.
The project is expected to focus on the “rapid insertion” of technologies across the mission spectrum for all warfighting domains.
This is tipped to involve integrating new technology with existing and legacy systems.
The contract includes a one-year base period of performance with four additional one-year option periods.
Gerry Fasano, Leidos defense group president, welcomed the opportunity to leverage the company’s C5ISR offering to provide warfighters with an edge on the battlefield.

“Leidos has finely tuned our portfolio of expertise and developed a dynamic enterprise suite of C5ISR solutions, including Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) tools to ensure our warfighters exploit state-of-the-art technology to maintain their decisive advantage and enable joint synergy for operational superiority.
