Hanwha Aerospace has announced that it will supply three additional Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher systems to the Estonian Defence Forces under a fresh contract.
The deal was signed by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments, further expanding defence ties between South Korea and its European allies.
The agreement follows a €290 million contract signed in December 2025 for six Chunmoo launchers, associated missile systems, and operational support, including CGR-080 guided rockets, CTM-MR missiles, and CTM-290 tactical ballistic missiles.
“The contract for three additional Chunmoo systems represents a significant capability development and reflects our increasingly active and effective cooperation with our South Korean partners,” said Estonia’s Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur.
The Chunmoo system is designed for rapid deployment and precision strike capability.
Mounted on military trucks, it can launch guided rockets with ranges of up to 80 kilometres, as well as CTM-290 ballistic missiles capable of striking targets nearly 290 kilometres away.
“This follow-on order enables us to further contribute to strengthening Estonia’s defence capabilities and defence-industrial ecosystem,” said Jae-il Son, CEO of Hanwha.
“Building on this momentum, we will continue to expand our footprint across the Baltic and Nordic regions, and to broaden our land systems portfolio in strategic partnership with Estonia.”
Estonia’s latest procurement strengthens its growing defence-industrial partnership with Hanwha, which already supplies the country with K9 self-propelled howitzers.
