Australian cyber security company archTIS has secured a $3.2 million contract with the Australian Department of Defence to continue and expand the deployment of its secure information collaboration platform, Kojensi Enterprise.
The agreement, announced by archTIS Limited, will see Defence continue licensing Kojensi Enterprise while also funding additional application development and ongoing maintenance services to enhance the platform’s capability.
The 12-month contract begins on 1 July 2026 and was awarded under Defence’s existing ICT Provider Arrangement Deed of Standing Offer. The agreement includes the option for Defence to extend the contract for two additional 12-month periods at its discretion.
archTIS managing director and CEO Daniel Lai said the contract represented continued confidence from Defence in Kojensi Enterprise and reflected the platform’s growing role in supporting modern defence information-sharing requirements.
“Kojensi Enterprise has not only been renewed, but Defence is investing in expanding its capability,” Lai said.
The contract is valued at $3.2 million, comprising:
- $1 million in annual recurring licensing revenue for Kojensi Enterprise.
- $2.2 million for application development, enhancements and maintenance services.
The latest award continues archTIS’ long-running relationship with Defence and builds on previous contracts supporting the Australian government’s requirements for secure handling of sensitive and classified information.
The company said the additional development work would allow Kojensi to continue evolving alongside Defence’s operational needs, improving secure collaboration capabilities across increasingly complex information environments.
The contract reinforces archTIS’ strategy of building long-term government partnerships through recurring software revenue and ongoing capability development.
Kojensi Enterprise is designed specifically for high-security environments where government agencies, defence organisations and industry partners need to securely access, share and collaborate on sensitive information.
The platform provides data-centric security controls designed to protect information based on its sensitivity, rather than relying solely on traditional network-based security approaches.
archTIS said Kojensi has been developed to meet the requirements of government and defence organisations operating in highly regulated environments, where secure collaboration between multiple users, agencies and partners is increasingly critical.
The company said it continues to invest in Kojensi to address changing information security requirements across Defence and allied government organisations.
As defence forces increasingly operate through multinational networks and rely on rapid information exchange between military units, government agencies and industry partners, secure digital collaboration platforms are becoming a key element of national security infrastructure.
archTIS said the latest contract positions Kojensi for continued expansion, including growth in user numbers and deployment locations across government environments.
The contract highlights the increasing importance of sovereign Australian-developed cyber security technologies supporting Defence’s digital transformation agenda.
With Defence investing heavily in modernising its information systems, strengthening cyber resilience and improving secure data-sharing capabilities, platforms such as Kojensi are expected to play a greater role in enabling trusted collaboration across Australia’s defence ecosystem.
archTIS said the Defence agreement further demonstrates Kojensi’s position as a specialised platform for managing sensitive and classified information in some of Australia’s most demanding ICT environments.
