Australian engineering services group MEMKO has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French firm Ingeliance Technologies in an effort to develop commercial opportunities in naval engineering services.

Australian engineering services group MEMKO has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French firm Ingeliance Technologies in an effort to develop commercial opportunities in naval engineering services.

Melbourne-based MEMKO announced its intention to establish Ingeliance Australia Pty Ltd through the new partnership to promote and provide engineering services related to naval projects in Australia.

“The partnership will focus on jointly developing commercial opportunities related to naval engineering services, building of skills, capability and capacity through staff exchange and closely work with Australian universities for the development of graduate engineering talent,” the group said in a statement.

Ingeliance Technologies offers various services, such as digital design engineering, calculation, numerical simulation, ILS, industrialisation and project management.

MEMKO, the official reseller of Dassault Systemes PLM Software, DELMIA, CATIA, ENOVIA, 3DVIA and EXALEAD for Australia and New Zealand, offers engineering services, technology solutions and training to assist and support customers in advanced and highly regulated industries

News of the JV comes after a handful of South Australian small businesses commenced training under a French firm earlier this year.

French software firm and 3D specialist Dassault Systèmes, which recently announced it will establish a new regional centre in Adelaide this year specialising in virtual technology research to support its virtual shipyard project and SA's defence industry, will work with 16 local SA companies to develop their digital capabilities.
